About Us
The Saint John Foundation of Hopkins is a South Carolina 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to charitable, educational, and community-building initiatives.
We focus on reducing crime, supporting youth and families, and fostering community engagement through various programs and partnerships.
What We Do
We strive to enhance our community by addressing school dropout rates and providing educational and job assistance.
We offer youth and family programs, cultural activities, and crime prevention training, along with after-school mentoring. Our mission is to foster independence and create a safer, more thriving community for all residents.
Community Assessments
Conduct surveys and home visits to evaluate crime, delinquency, neighborhood needs, and existing programs.
Youth and Family Programs
Incorporate all local youths and families into programs to promote independence, goal-setting, and self-esteem.
School Partnerships
Link with local schools to reduce truancy and dropout rates, and provide educational training and job opportunities.
Church and Community Outreach
Create a network for local churches, youth, and family outreach programs, supporting human and spiritual growth for the elderly.
Cultural and Recreational Activities
Organize cultural tours, educational workshops, conferences, and sporting events to enrich the community.
Training and Crime Prevention
Offer training in computer skills, life skills, and leadership to reduce crime and poverty.
After-School and Mentoring Programs
Develop after-school and mentoring programs to provide socialization, stimulation, and prevention services, addressing social issues among adults and teens.
